A couple of days ago accompanied by my son Jack, was invited by Michael Connarty MP back to the House of Commons - this time to the ‘All Party Jazz Appreciation Group and was honoured to be invited by Paul Gambaccini (an old mate from my 1970’s days on Top Of The Pops!) & PPL to present one of the awards (see pic link below)

Actually, as these things go it was a lot of fun, a lovely evening on the Terrace outside the famous facade overlooking the Thames, and both Jack and I really enjoyed the evening. Gary Crosby and friends played some wonderful Jazz after the Awards and it was great to catch up with old friends like Tom McGuinness of the original Manfred Mann band, Jonathan Morrish of PPL and David Starck from Songlink magazine.

Once again also was incredibly moved by the devotion and passion of friends like Michael Connarty and Fran Nevrkla (Chairman of PPL) on behalf of UK musicians and how much they believe in a fairer copyright term for us all - well done guys and keep up the good work!
